- GreenCityBlueLake Institute- The GreenCityBlueLake Institute is the new center for sustainability at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History. It was formed in 2007 from the merger of the Museum and EcoCity Cleveland. On issues from climate change to urban greening, the GCBL Institute can help the residents of Northeast Ohio learn how to reduce the impact on nature. Together we can create green cities on a blue lake.
- Council of American-Islamic Relations- The Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group. Established in 1994 as a non-profit, grassroots civil rights organization, CAIR is dedicated to presenting an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public. In offering that perspective, CAIR seeks to empower the Muslim community in America through political and social activism. The national headquarters is located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and is assisted by 28 regional offices in the United States and Canada—including CAIR-Ohio, based in Columbus.
- The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland- Since 1905, The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland has provided high quality legal assistance to low income clients. The mission of Legal Aid is to secure justice and resolve fundamental problems, for those who are low income and vulnerable, by providing high quality legal services and working for systemic solutions.
- Women Speak Out For Peace And Justice- Women Speak Out For Peace And Justice (WSO) is the Cleveland Branch of Women's International League for Peace And Freedom. WSO was formed by a group of women to combat the Viet Nam War after they had participated in the Jeanette Rankin Brigade. Soon thereafter, they joined the national group which has a history going back to World War I and the efforts to stop that conflict. In the 40 years since its founding, WSO has been involved in many social justice and peace issues.
- Veterans for Peace- We, having dutifully served our nation, do hereby affirm our greater responsibility to serve the cause of world peace. To this end we will work, with others, toward increasing public awareness of the costs of war; to restrain our government from intervening, overtly and covertly, in the internal affairs of other nations; to end the arms race and to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear weapons; to seek justice for veterans and victims of war; and to abolish war as an instrument of national policy.
- Rainey Institute- Rainey Institute is dedicated to social change for Cleveland’s economically disadvantaged youth through education and participation in the performing and visual arts. One hundred years ago, the Rainey Institute was founded by a pioneering social worker, Anna Edwards, and a philanthropist, Eleanor B. Rainey. Mrs. Rainey, deeply impressed by the work being accomplished, financed Miss Edwards’ program, and paid for the construction of a building to house its operations.
- Cleveland Out and About- Cleveland Out and About is an all-volunteer outdoor recreational group serving Northeast Ohio. Although primarily a gay and lesbian organization, the group welcomes all to participate in its activities. This group is incorporated and associates itself with the International Gay and Lesbian Outdoor Organization (IGLOO). IGLOO is a worldwide network of lesbian, gay and bisexual outdoor organizations to provide members with access to other member groups and their activities such as skiing in Vermont and scuba diving in the Caribbean.
- ClevelandBikes- Formed in 2003, ClevelandBikes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing and promoting all forms of bicycling as economical and healthful recreation, sport and transportation and committed to advancing the rights of Northeastern Ohio cyclists to use the roads and trails. ClevelandBikes serves as an information resource for cyclists, planners, engineers and others seeking input from the cycling community.

- Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland- The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland is a private, non-profit organization providing hospitality, meals, and support to homeless families through a network of religious congregations. IHN mobilizes Greater Cleveland’s religious community to respond to the needs of our community’s most vulnerable: homeless families. The mission of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cleveland is to provide hospitality to homeless families. IHN offers compassionate care to homeless families, alleviates the trauma of homelessness and assists families in securing a stable home.
- Cleveland Coalition Against the Death Penalty- The Cleveland Coalition Against the Death Penalty (CCADP) is a diverse group of religious and secular organizations, and individual citizens, working to oppose all Ohio and federal executions and to abolish capital punishment in Ohio and the United States. We believe that no one should be put to death at the hand of any government. We bring this message to the public, and to public officials, through sidewalk protest vigils, leafleting, petitioning, media contact, an e-mail network, and our speakers' bureau.
- Earth Day Coalition- Earth Day Coalition is Cleveland’s own nonprofit environmental education organization serving Ohio and the nation. We provide a broad range of community-based environmental education and leadership initiatives through our four award-winning and nationally recognized programs. Earth Day Coalition was established in 1990 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Earth Day in Ohio. We work directly with students and teachers through our environmental education programs.
- George Jones Farm and Nature Preserve- The George Jones Farm and Nature Preserve is a 70 acre farmstead owned by Oberlin College and operated by the New Agrarian Center (NAC) as a cooperative farm incubator and educational center. The farm combines production areas for vegetables, fruits, composting, and free-range livestock with efforts to restore natural habitat. We approach the farm from an ecosystem perspective, working to restore topsoil, wetlands, forests, and meadows to create a truly sustainable food web that feeds people as well as wild plants and animals.
- Free Medical Clinic of Greater Cleveland- Most health care facilities see the uninsured as a liability they can do without, so they are discarded by the thousands. But we at The Free Clinic see them as friends, family and neighbors and we do whatever we can to help. Because sudden layoffs happen. Because unexpected illnesses happen. So now the woman with flu symptoms can go to the doctor. The man with depression can receive counseling and treatment. The elderly widow down the street can get her medications. And that’s something special to hold on to.
- City Fresh- City Fresh is a joint initiative beteween the New Agrarian Center (NAC) and Ohio State University Cooperative Extension. The goal of City Fresh is to build a more just and sustainable local food system in Northeast Ohio. City Fresh seeks to meet the needs of both urban and rural communities by improving access to fresh locally grown food for urban residents and marketing opportunities in the city for local farmers.
- Heights Arts- Heights Arts (HA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 community arts organization in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Founded in 2000, Heights Arts enriches the quality of life in the Heights by cultivating a strong, diverse, and collaborative arts community. HA's goals are to inspire all Heights citizens to participate in the arts, support the arts in K-12 education, expand exhibition and performance opportunities, and foster public appreciation for the arts.
- Reaching Heights- Reaching Heights, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Schools Foundation, is a citizen organization that encourages residents of Cleveland Heights and University Heights, Ohio to contribute to the success of our public schools.
- New Agrarian Center- The New Agrarian Center is committed to building a stronger and more sustainable regional food system in Northeast Ohio- a food system that promotes health in the broadest sense of the word: healthy land, healthy communities, healthy individuals, and a healthy economy.
- NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio- NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio is committed to developing a constituency that uses the democratic process to guarantee every woman the right to choose reproductive options, including family planning, sexuality education, and safe, legal abortion.
- Dobama Theatre- Intimate, edgy, sometimes heart-filled, Dobama is a small professional theater dedicated to premiering outstanding plays written by today's established and emerging playwrights. Through its educational programming, Dobama Theatre nurtures the development of theatre artists and builds new audiences for the arts while provoking an examination of our contemporary world.
- Cleveland Public Theatre- Cleveland Public Theatre's mission is to raise consciousness and nurture compassion through ground breaking performances and life changing educational programs. Cleveland Public Theatre is an alternative performance company with a commitment to help develop original theatre artists from our area -- particularly those whose work is experimental in form and/or challenging in content. We are known as one of the nation's leading experimental & political performance venues, sponsoring much dance, music, poetry, and performance art as well as theatre.
- Northeast Ohio American Friends Service Committee- The Northeast Ohio American Friends Service Committee is a Quaker social action organization that educates, advocates and organizes on concerns of justice, peace, sustainability and democracy. The Akron office is home to two programs, the Wage Peace/Anti-War Program and the Economic Justice and Empowerment Program. In addition, since 9/11 the Northeast Ohio AFSC has actively promoted peace, justice, and civil liberties through community forums, rallies, marches, and vigils.
- Ohio City Bike Co-op- The OCBC is a non-profit, volunteer-driven cooperative bicycle education center. Our Earn a Bike program takes donations of used bikes and helps kids earn one for themselves while they learn bike repair and safe cycling. Surplus bikes are fully refurbished for sale to support the program. For adults, we offer repair classes as well as the League of American Bicyclists' Bike Driver's Ed program. We have some used bikes for sale, but we are not a bike shop and do not take in repairs. We also do not sell new bikes, clothes, shoes, or non-essential accessories.
- Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless- The Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless (NEOCH) is a coalition of service providers, housing activists, members, and homeless people. NEOCH activities in partnership with the homeless include the publication of the Homeless Grapevine newspaper, co-sponsorship of the Stand Down service fair, staffing for the Shelter Provider Group, co-sponsorship of an Annual Homeless Conference, sponsorship of the Homeless Vigil, publication of the Street Card, and construction of a host of educational and advocacy activities.
- Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Center of Greater Cleveland- Founded in 1975, the Center is a community-based non-profit agency working toward a society free of homophobia and gender oppression by advancing the respect, human rights and dignity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.
- American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio- The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio is headquartered at the Max Wohl Civil Liberties Center in midtown Cleveland, supported by a staff of 16, as well as numerous interns, law clerks and volunteers. The building was purchased and renovated in 2001, and now provides a comfortable home with the flexible space and technology that our staff needs to support our leaders, volunteers and activists across the state. The ACLU has chapters and working groups throughout Ohio to promote the efforts of the ACLU in their communities. The ACLU of Ohio is an affiliate of the national ACLU.
