Education
- Rainey Institute- Rainey Institute is dedicated to social change for Cleveland’s economically disadvantaged youth through education and participation in the performing and visual arts. One hundred years ago, the Rainey Institute was founded by a pioneering social worker, Anna Edwards, and a philanthropist, Eleanor B. Rainey. Mrs. Rainey, deeply impressed by the work being accomplished, financed Miss Edwards’ program, and paid for the construction of a building to house its operations.
- Reaching Heights- Reaching Heights, the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Schools Foundation, is a citizen organization that encourages residents of Cleveland Heights and University Heights, Ohio to contribute to the success of our public schools.
- Ohio City Bike Co-op- The OCBC is a non-profit, volunteer-driven cooperative bicycle education center. Our Earn a Bike program takes donations of used bikes and helps kids earn one for themselves while they learn bike repair and safe cycling. Surplus bikes are fully refurbished for sale to support the program. For adults, we offer repair classes as well as the League of American Bicyclists' Bike Driver's Ed program. We have some used bikes for sale, but we are not a bike shop and do not take in repairs. We also do not sell new bikes, clothes, shoes, or non-essential accessories.
- Ohio Home Educators Network- Ohio Home Educators Network (OHEN) is a regional network of homeschooling families. We are an inclusive group supporting families of all religious beliefs. Although OHEN supports a student-led, interest-centered approach, we welcome all homeschooling families regardless of educational philosophy or teaching style. OHEN's purpose is to provide interested parents with accurate information about home education in Ohio. We hold informational meetings and publish a monthly email newsletter listing activities scheduled by members.
- C-Space- A community center for interaction, social programs + political action. Do you have an idea to improve your neighborhood, Cleveland, or the world?
